The Youngstown State University School Psychology Program has begun to review student applications for the second YSU School Psychology Program cohort to begin in June of 2013, and they plan to begin the interview process in late February. Candidates will find that this new school psychology program provides comprehensive training which leads to an Ohio License as a school psychologist, and the curriculum is based on standards prescribed by the National Association of School Psychologists. The program emphasizes five core training areas including dynamic assessment, consultation/response to intervention, counseling, low and high incidence disabilities, and role and function of the school psychologist. The next information session (to describe the program and answer questions) with be held on the YSU campus on Wednesday, 1/23/13 at 11:00 am in the Kilcawley Center (Gallery Room, Second Floor).
