Students and Faculty Member Publish Paper
Six students, Brandy Dilgard, Cassie
Mosley, Melissa Welch, Jessie Bates, Niki Valentine, and Lauren Goossens, along
with Assistant Professor Diane Bonfiglio, had a paper accepted for publication
in the journal Modern Psychological Studies. The paper, "Participation
in a Priming Task Predicts Persistence," describes the results of two
related studies in which the researchers attempted to alter participants'
levels of optimism and then measured the amount of time students spent working
on a set of difficult puzzles. The paper will appear in the Fall 2012 issue of
the journal.
