Research Could Lead to New Treatments for Parkinson's Disease
Recent research by Dr. Anatol Kreitzer and colleagues could provide clues into new treatments for Parkinson's Disease. Click here for a summary of the research findings that were posted at Science Daily, or click here for the formal report that was published online at the neuroscience journal Neuron. As posted at the Science Daily website, Dr. Kreitzer states "Our research has uncovered how an entirely different group of neurons can play a role in the development of Parkinson's disease symptoms...We hope to target the changes among these neurons directly with drug therapies, in order to help relieve some of Parkinson's most debilitating symptoms."
