Drs. Mitchell Metzger (Psychology), Glenn Kumhera (History), and Mark Hamilton (Philosophy) arrived in Wittenberg, Germany with eleven Ashland Univeristy students on Sunday May 15. This group will spend the next three weeks in eastern Germany, where they will teach/take classes and travel to cities such as Leipzig, Berlin, Erfurt, Eisenach, Weimar, and Dresden. Students who take part in this program come from a variety of programs on campus, and two of the students on this trip are psychology majors (Niki Valentine and Katie Schuster). Pictured here is Stadtkirche (town church), which sits in the middle of Wittenberg and is just off the main square in the middle of town. "AU in Germany" has run annually since 2005, and Dr. Metzger is the director of this program. He is actively recruiting the group of students who will go in 2012, so if you would like more information about this great opportunity please visit the AU study abroad page by clicking here.
