Deadline For Submissions to Present at Eastern Psychological Association Meeting is November 1st

Ashland University psychology majors who are conducting research this semester should be aware that the deadline for abstract submissions to the EPA conference is November 1, 2011.  The annual meeting will be held in Pittsburgh, PA from March 1-4 at the Westin Convention Center.  Click here to be directed to the main page for EPA, where additional information about the meeting can be found.  In order to present at the meeting, students must first apply for "Associate Member" status in EPA.  Once the membership application has been approved, students are then allowed to submit their abstracts for consideration at the meeting.  Any Ashland University students who are considering submitting their work for consideration at the March meeting should contact Drs. Metzger, Bonfiglio, or Mattingly for more information.  Presenting research at regional psychology meetings such as EPA is a great achievement, and provides students with experiences that will benefit them tremendously when applying for graduate schools or jobs after graduation.  Since 2004, more than 50 Ashland University students have participated in these events, and we hope that students doing research this year will consider submitting their abstracts.
