As your semester is beginning, have you given any thought to what you’re going to do with your weekends? I know this is a stressful part of the year because you are just starting classes and trying to get a feel for your teachers and you’re trying to figure out how much homework they like to give. I know how stressful it can be; after all I was there a couple years ago.
However, if you haven’t spent any time thinking about what you want to do during your weekends, now might be a good time to do that. Let’s take a second to try to figure out what you value in a job.
1) Do you want somewhere that you have to follow a strict schedule/regime or do you want to work somewhere that’s going to encourage you to bring your creativity to work every single day?
2) Do you want an easy job, or one that will challenge you every single day?
3) Do you want a job that you go into knowing everything there is to know about what you’re doing, or do you want a job that will give you a chance to learn something new every moment of every day?
4) Do you want a job that lets you build friendships with your co-workers, or do you want to become part of a family?

4) Do you want a job that lets you build friendships with your co-workers, or do you want to become part of a family?
If you’ve picked the second choice in every single one of these questions (or most of them), you might want to consider talking to me about the possibility of working at the Akron Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs this school year. You will get to bring your own hobbies and passions to camp to help expand and improve the opportunities we provide to our campers. You will also work alongside some of the hardest working, and most passionate people you will ever meet. There is one more reason to work at camp. YOU GET TO BE A KID AGAIN AND RE-LEARN HOW TO HAVE FUN!!!
If all my reasons for working at camp aren’t enough, click HERE and find out why we love Akron Rotary Camp. I hope you have a successful transition from summer to waking up for classes and studying for exams! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at 330.644.4512 x 3204 or email me at jeremyd@akronymca.org.
