The Psychology Department will welcome Dr. Lisa Christian to
campus on Tuesday, November 4th to deliver this year's Psychology Research
Colloquium. Dr. Christian will speak on "Stress and Immune Function during
Pregnancy: An Emerging Focus in Mind-Body Medicine" at 3:00 p.m. in the
Ronk Lecture Hall in the Schar College of Education Building. This event is
free and open to the public. Dr. Christian completed her undergraduate studies
at the University of Missouri before earning her Master of Arts and Doctor of
Philosophy degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Ohio State University. After
completing her degrees, she returned to OSU in 2008 as a member of the
Institute for Behavioral Medicine Research as a clinical health psychologist.
She currently holds appointments an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry,
Psychology, and Obstetrics/Gynecology at OSU. Her main area of research is in
stress and immune responses.
