The Value of Funny-Sounding Science....

Alan Leshner, CEO for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), co-authored this recent editorial in the Washington Post about the public perception of "funny-sounding research".  It is an interesting read, but what is not funny is the trend of declining federal support for basic research.  Thanks to Dave Riccio, Professor of Psychology at Kent State University, for bringing this article to our attention.
