Dr. Curt Ickes, Associate Professor of Psychology, is a Player Development Specialist for the
Lake Erie Crushers, a single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. Dr. Ickes’s specialty is the study and application of psychological
factors that lead to optimal athletic performance. His work focuses on
developing mentally tough personality attitudes and traits, as well as
improving maximum focus and preparation for each individual pitch.
