Psychology Students Present Research at Regional Conference

Congratulations to the twelve psychology majors who presented their research at the annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association meeting in Pittsburgh last weekend!  The students presented work that was conducted either in the Advanced Research in Psychology class (PSYC 310) or as a research assistant to one of the faculty members in the department.  Each of the students gained valuable experience through this activity that will undoubtedly be useful to them as they apply for graduate schools or compete for jobs after graduation.  The students who participated were Rachel Carson, Amber Weaver, Kayla Hoover, Sarah Guarino, Amanda Mosley, Jessie Bates, Niki Valentine, Lauren Goossens, Brandy Dilgard, Cassie Mosley, Melissa Welch, and Alex Maus. Pictured is Psychology major Alex Maus, who presented her research titled "The Effects of Stress on Appeal of Food Images".

If you are a current psychology major or minor who would like more information about getting involved in research in our department, please contact Drs. Bonfiglio, Mattingly, or Metzger.  Also, mark your calendars for the next EPA meeting that will be held March 1-3, 2013, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City!
