History and Systems Class Takes Trip to the History of Psychology Archives

Dr. Alinde Moore and three students from her PSYC 408 (History and Systems of Psychology) class took a recent trip to the Center for the History of Psychology at the University of Akron.  Accompanying Dr. Moore were Nikki Rumker, Shawn Yambor, and Morgan Cleary, who were given a behind the scenes tour.  In the pictures below, students can be seen with the the mock 'jail cell' from the Zimbardo Prison experiments, the famous 'BoBo Doll' from Bandura's social learning experiments, and the wooden head from Harlow's attachment studies with rhesus monkeys.  All in all, Dr. Moore reports that the group had a great time and were able to relate these historical materials with content they have learned in their psychology courses.  For those students who will take PSYC 408 in the future, this trip to the Archives is an annual event.
